Terms of Service.

1. What Aflik is
Aflik is a studio and stage for AI-native cinema ("Aflik," "we," "us"). When you sign in, generate, publish, watch, tip, subscribe, or otherwise use the service at aflik.app or any of its apps, you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in EEA jurisdictions). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.
3. Publishing and rights
While a work is published on Aflik, you grant us the exclusive, worldwide right to host, transcode, stream, distribute, and promote it — so published work streams and is distributed through Aflik, and not through other platforms, for as long as you keep it published. You can take down any work at any time, and when you do, this exclusive right terminates. If you want a published film shown at an outside film festival, you can request it, and on our approval of the specific submission, Aflik will send the film to that festival on your behalf.
You're responsible for the rights to anything you upload as a reference (footage, photos, music). Don't upload material you don't have rights to. Aflik will respond to valid takedown notices from rights holders.
4. AI-generated content
Aflik routes generation requests through third-party model providers (Google Veo, OpenAI Sora, Anthropic Claude, ElevenLabs, Suno, fal.ai, and others through the Vercel AI Gateway). You agree to comply with each provider's usage policies, including bans on non-consensual likeness use, deepfakes of real people without permission, CSAM, and other prohibited content. Aflik enforces a verified-human gate (via World ID) for any actor likeness used in published work.
5. Money: credits, tips, subscriptions, payouts
Credits. 1 credit = $0.01 USD. You buy them in packs or get them included with paid subscriptions. Credits don't expire and are non-refundable except as required by law.
Tips. When a viewer tips a creator, the creator receives the tip minus payment-processing fees. Aflik does not take a separate cut.
Subscriptions. Paid plans bill on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as shown at checkout) and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. Each plan includes the credits and features listed on the pricing page.
Cash-out. Creators can cash out their credit balance to a linked Stripe Connect Express account. Payment-processing fees are deducted from each payout.
Refunds. If a tip or pack purchase is refunded via Stripe, the corresponding credits are reversed. Creators who've already cashed out refunded amounts agree to make Aflik whole — typically by allowing future earnings to offset the shortfall.
Taxes. Creators are responsible for their own taxes on earnings. Stripe issues a 1099-K (US) or equivalent when thresholds are met.
6. Content rules
Don't publish: CSAM, non-consensual sexual material, deepfakes of real people without their consent, content that incites violence against a group, material you don't own the rights to, fraud or spam. Aflik can remove content and terminate accounts for violations.
7. Service availability
Aflik runs on Vercel, Neon, and partner APIs. We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Generation may fail or take longer than expected during provider outages; in those cases you can reuse reserved credits or get them released.
8. Termination
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Account. We remove your profile, drafts, uploaded media, channel data, and saved settings. Financial records (tip transactions, payouts, credit history) are retained for accounting and tax compliance — they're decoupled from your personal information (email, handle, display name), which is purged. Your handle becomes available for re-use. Aflik may suspend or terminate accounts for ToS violations, fraud, or extended inactivity.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aflik isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid Aflik in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Changes
We'll post material changes to these terms here and email registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. Disputes go to state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless a different forum is required by applicable consumer protection law.
