Content guidelines.

Last updated June 9, 2026

Aflik exists to host original cinema made with AI. We hold a high bar for what we publish — both to keep the platform a credible home for filmmakers and to comply with the law. These guidelines apply to every published film, every channel page, every reference upload, every cast actor photo, and every text field that goes into the public catalog.

Never allowed

  • CSAM. Any sexual content involving a real or simulated minor. Reported to NCMEC under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery of real, identifiable people — including AI-generated NCII.
  • Likeness misuse. Using a real, identifiable person's face or voice in a published work without their consent. Aflik's cast pipeline requires the cast actor to accept; no other route gets you a real face on a published film.
  • Material that incites violence against an identifiable individual or group.
  • Targeted harassment of a specific person or group.
  • Doxxing. Publishing private personal information (home address, phone number, government ID).
  • Content that infringes copyright you do not own or license. See the DMCA policy.
  • Malware, phishing, scams in any field (titles, descriptions, links, channel bios).
  • Material illegal in the jurisdiction where Aflik operates or where the content is hosted.

Allowed with care

  • Mature themes. Aflik hosts horror, violence, sex (between fictional adults), drug use, profanity. Stories grapple with hard things. We do not censor genre.
  • Politics. You can make political films, satirize public figures, advocate for causes. You cannot incite violence or impersonate someone in a way meant to deceive.
  • AI-generated likenesses of public figures are permitted only in contexts a reasonable viewer would understand as satire, parody, or commentary — and only when the work is clearly labeled as fictional. Photorealistic deepfakes presented as real footage will be removed.

Cast actors and likeness rights

When you cast a real human actor through Aflik:

  • The actor's consent is explicit and project-scoped — they accept the cast request before their likeness is usable.
  • The actor may revoke consent on future work at any time by archiving their actor profile.
  • The actor's voice clone is gated by their voice-clone enrollment and tied to their account.
  • You are responsible for using cast actors within the scope of their consent. Off-brand or off-platform use of their likeness violates these guidelines.

Reporting

If you see something that violates these guidelines, click the Report control on the film or channel, or email help@aflik.app. We review every report. For copyright issues, file a DMCA notice.

Enforcement

Violations result in any of: a private warning, takedown of the offending work, suspension of the creator account, permanent ban. Repeat or severe violations are escalated faster.

We err toward overruling AI-moderation false positives, since these stories deserve room. If your work was removed and you believe that was wrong, reply to the takedown email — a human will re-review.
