How Aflik works
From sign-up to your first published cut, in eight steps.
- Sign up — 50 free credits land in your balance. Enough to play with the cheapest video model for a couple of clips.
- New project — Film or Series. You'll land in the studio.
- Workshop → Script — sketch characters and locations, then beat out the story (Beats → Outline → Final draft). Script Doctor (✦) brainstorms with you; it never rewrites without permission.
- Storyboard — open the chip, click Storyboard this scene on any scene. 6–10 frames generate per scene. Attach references from your moodboard to lock in style.
- Generate takes — hit Generate Take on a frame. Aflik picks the right video model for the shot, threads dialogue into the prompt, renders. Star (★) your favorite as the primary.
- Cuts — Build from primary takes. Aflik walks every scene in script order and assembles them. Drag to reorder, ✕ to remove, Rebuild to re-assemble with fresher primaries.
- Publish to Watch — pick a genre. Your cut lands on the public catalog, your channel, and the genre rail.
- Earn — every viewer-minute mints FLIK to you. When USD payouts are enabled, watch-time also deposits credits to your balance. Tips run through your project's cap table — owner + collaborators + actors all get their split.
Common questions
How are credits priced?
1 credit = $0.01 of usage. Your subscription includes monthly credits; you can also buy packs as needed. Generations cost varies by model — a 4-second Kling 3 clip is ~25 credits, a Veo 3 frame is ~40 credits.
Do I own the films I make on Aflik?
Yes. You retain copyright on everything you generate, edit, and publish. Aflik gets a license to display your published films on Watch and process payouts to your bank. Full details in the Terms of Service.
How do tips work for creators?
Viewers can tip any creator from their channel page. Creators get ~94% of the tip (Stripe processing fee + small buffer come out — typically ~6%). Tips land in your credit balance immediately; cash out to your bank via Settings → Plan & billing.
Why do I need to verify with World ID to vote?
Aflik awards are decided by humans, not bots. World ID confirms you're a unique person without revealing your identity. One verified human = one ballot per program. Settings → Account → Verify.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your profile, drafts, films, and uploaded media go away. We keep financial records (tips, payouts, credit transactions) for accounting compliance, but they're disconnected from your personal info. Your handle becomes available for re-use.
Can I use my own AI provider keys?
Yes — Settings → Models & keys lets you store your own Anthropic / Google / Fal / ElevenLabs keys. When set, Aflik routes generations through your account instead of ours. Keys are AES-256-GCM encrypted at rest.
